Development for Nanotech Companies in India, Iran and Singapore
partnership with Spring Capital Investment Pte Ltd., the host of high
level government delegation from a Chinese city Ma An Shan (near NanJing), on
Nov. 30th, 2009, we arranged a meeting with BioNano a Singapore
based company with Chinese subsidiaries. We introduced its Nanobubble
technology for waste water treatment which has generated substantial interest
in China and investment in Hong Kong recently. Details about BioNano and its
technology and track record in waste water treatment in the Great China region
are described in our article BioNano International: Nano-bubbles - Green Solution for Reviving Water Ecosystems In partnership with Singapore Economic
Development Board (EDB),
hosted delegates during 7-9 December 2009 from Susira Industries, an
Indian automotive parts manufacturer with nanotech R&D activities
and an Iranian nanotech company Nano1 Industry Group.
Both companies are
searching for opportunities to accelerate their R&D commercialization and a
regional marketing hub. Details of the companies can be found here. We also organized a two hour SingNano Seminar in partnership
with IMRE gathering 40 local
company executives and research scientists to network and exchange R&D and
business ideas and facilitate commercialization cooperation with our overseas
visitors. The materials attracted much interest in the discussion include nanostructured
ZnO, TiO2, SiO2 and metal nanoparticles.

Presence and Impact
Nanotech Commercialization and International Cooperation from the Developing
World to the United Nation
- Malaysia - We participated in the annual Nanotechnology
Conference and Exhibition in Malaysia (Nanotech Malaysia 2009) which
attracted 200 visitors (70% local and 30% overseas) 27-29
October 2009 held in Kuala Lumpur. We
discussed global nanotechnology cooperation issues with the Cuban State
Council Scientific Advisor Dr. Fidel
Castro Diaz Balart together with Professor Burhanuddin
Yeop Majlis (Chairman of Nanotech Malaysia 2009) from Institute
of Microengineering and Nanoelectronics (IMEN).
We also gave a plenary talk that was an overview of nanotechnology applications in daily
life and nanotechnology activities in Asia Pacific region. Our presentation
stimulated strong interests on nanotechnology education. Click here for details from our weekly article.
- Vietnam - We are helping the world discover Vietnam's rapid advancement in nanotechnology infrastructure, R&D
and commercialization and the role of overseas Vietnamese through our
participation in and publication about two conferences and site visits at Laboratory of
Nanotechnology in Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City. Details are in our weekly article Nanotechnology Update in Vietnam.
- 8-10 November 2009: 6th Vietnam National Conference on
Solid State Physics and Materials (SPMS2009), Da Nang, Vietnam
November 2009: 2nd
International Workshop on Nanotechnology and Application (IWNA 2009),
Vung Tau, Vietnam.
Singapore - NanoGlobe partnering with the Singapore
government and American Chamber of Commerce to conduct nanotech outreach to the
Singapore based business community and industry on 24
November 2009. Details are also in our weekly article. We also participated in the Industry
Day organized by Institute of Materials and Research Engineering (IMRE) on 11
December 2009 (IMRE Industry Day - Nanotechnology Showcase for Industry Commercialization) where we learned about
IMRE`s applied research efforts and industry partnership.
Sri Lanka -We were invited to participate in the International
Workshop on Nanotechnology "Promoting Innovation in Nanotechnology and
Fostering Its Industrial Application", An Asia-Pacific Perspective,
organized by UNESCAP`s the Asian and Pacific Center for Transfer of Technology
(APCTT) during 2-3
December 2009 in Colombo. Through the United Nations Economic and
Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP)
network, we have discovered the nanotechnology initiatives and programs in
countries which so far are not in our network including Bangladesh, Nepal,
Pakistan, Philippines, and Sri Lanka. Details are included in our latest
article (Nanotechnology Now and Nanoglobe website)
NanoGlobe provides professional services based on our unparalleled understanding
of nanotechnology in Asia. Our participation
in Asian nanotechnology events and site-visits give us deep insight into policy
issues, strategic intelligence needs, and the ability to analyze nanotech
innovation for commercialization. We would be honoured to discuss our
consulting services and to work together for your business development success.
