“Kyoto Environmental Nanotechnology Cluster” (KENC), a Regional
Innovation Strategy Support Program of the Ministry of Education,
Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), has been conducted at
overcoming global environmental issues by developing nanotechnologies
under academia-industry collaborations. In this decade,
nanotechnologies have been dramatically progressed all over the world.
However, such drastic advancements have simultaneously brought us many
global issues such as safety and hazard issues, commercialization, using
IP in international business field and collaboration and so on.
Under the circumstances, the KENC propose here that these considerable
global issues have to be discussed at the international stance now.
They have organized an international network forum which is focusing on
wide range of global issues in nanotechnology and would be happy to share the discussions by domestic and overseas specialists in
academic, industrial and governmental sectors to find clues for
sustainability.
